In this workshop students will be guided in creating their own Pocket Satchel.
What is a Pocket Satchel? It is a necklace or over the shoulder pouch made from muslin as a base and then creatively embellished with all things fiber. This class is creativity with cloth, lace, trims, buttons, and whatever else you choose to add. Students will be taught different techniques to use in attaching their fibers and fabrics. There will be some slow stitching in embellishing the satchel. Everything is provided and there will be plenty of colors and textures to choose from. You are also welcome to bring anything extra that you might want to add. Finished satchels will be of your own design, meaning they can vary from pastel shabby chic, to rustic weathered and aged appearing. All tools will be provided for you to use in your creation.
