In this creative and extensive workshop We will explore some of the cherished laces  of the world and their origins.                                                                      
Some of these laces date back to the early 17th century and before. 

On the first day of class we will construct a “No Sew” Journal with a mixed lace cover, plus a spine which allows pages to be inserted and removed. If you would choose to create a more rustic antiqued journal we will cover ways to add this effect.

On the second day we will work on the inside contents of your journal.We will be filling it with hand made papers that we will prep and embellish. Pockets and pullouts will be made to hold photographs and memories. Many embellishments will be added for the perfect touches.

Each student will leave with a finished 5” X 8” Journal with a 2” thick spine.

An apron and lap towel are all that you will need to bring.
