You are invited to join Roxanne in a brand new 3 day workshop where we explore different kinds of artist books! We will collage, assemble and stitch unusual book structures like fabric and paper scrolls, multi-layered wall hangings, small stitched and found object stitched books and books with different formats that can fold together and stitched in different ways.
In this workshop you will be intrigued with the processes that Roxanne guides you to and fall in love the creativity that unfolds for you each day!

Supplies Needed to bring for Class:
A small amount white or cream cotton or linen scraps. (Consider tearing or cutting up an old pillowcase) We will use my special process for painting this fabric with color
A small amount of paper scraps: In light or natural colors, vintage papers, old text or book pages, old envelopes or letters (also that will fit in a zip lock bag)
Acrylic Paint: small tube of black and white,
Your favorite embroidery flosses or thread
Large eyed Needle
Large Glue stick
Matte Medium (small bottle unless you are carrying it on a plane)
A few assorted paintbrushes
Water container
embroidery floss, assorted colors
a small traveling watercolor box,
Assorted colors of acrylic paint (in your color palette)
papertowels or rags
Pencil and other mark (think about black pens, posca pens, black stabilos, black crayons, different size brushes etc)
Fabric and paper scraps for collaging
Assemble and build hand made books
Scissors
Wire (26 gauge)
Watercolor sketchbook to take out on excursions. Small is fine!
2 to 3 pieces of watercolor paper 8 x 10 for extra projectsPlease don’t worry if you cannot bring certain supplies. ROXANNE will be bringing plenty of beautiful fabrics and papers plus extras of all the supplies!
