Celebration of Leaves

Helene Knott
9:00 - 4:30
Thursday Sept 17
$185.00

Among Nature’s most perfect designs, is the ephemeral leaf. Here for just one season then gone. Each leaf is a work of beauty. Unique in it’s imperfection. An individual who is born, matures, flares to fiery heights of color in the autumn, and then fades and falls, providing life for the tree to produce a new crop of leaves the following year. Celebrate this cycle with a stitched fabric and fiber collage, exploring the beautiful asymmetry of a leaf and the perfect structure that lies within. In this class, you will use a variety of materials and techniques: stamping, stenciling, collage, and stitching to make beautiful tribute to these gems of Nature.  Skill level: Confident beginners and up.
