A lot of fabric painting and dyeing techniques are very messy and require the use of toxic dyes ans chemicals. Not so with this process. This method involves a drawing process similar to doodling after which the color is mobilized to make flow and blend across the fabric. Various fabrics produce different results, and in the class you will have the opportunity to play with a few options. You can create an original design with doodle or Zentangle-style drawing, use a stencil, or trace a more precise design. Skill level: Confident beginners and up. Note: Handwork but students who wish to try it by machine are welcome to bring one.
Materials Fee $ 10 paid at beginning of class includes:
assorted fabric squares,
and the use of instructor’s pens and chemicals.
