Beginner friendly introduction to linocut carving and printmaking using a soft carve substrate to carve your design and make custom cards, prints, or for later use on fabric. We will learn how to transfer an image, along with safe carving techniques. We’ll print using a variety of papers, cardstock, postcards and more. We will learn about positive and negative space and build confidence in carving your first designs. Instructor will provide tools to share, a variety of paper choices for printing, and will provide the substrate and inks for general use during class. You will leave with several finished prints and cards that you will print, as well as your carved substrate. Your carved block can be used over and over again, in whatever print medium you desire.
