Explore the joy of layering, texture, and playful experimentation in this mixed-media collage workshop!
You’ll learn fun techniques using collage papers, acrylic paint, and stencils to create rich, dimensional backgrounds. Then, bring your piece to life with a provided high-quality image of a woman as your focal point. I’ll demonstrate techniques for enhancing your image and guide you throughout the creative process.
Come with a playful, open, and non-judgmental spirit, there are no mistakes, just opportunities to explore! You’ll leave with a finished collage painting on birch board canvas, plus a collection of layering, painting, and surface-texture techniques to continue exploring at home.
Students of every experience level are welcome!
Materials Fee $25 paid at beginning of class includes:
Birch Board
Gel Medium
Gesso
Palette knife
I will provide beautiful vintage & current images of women. If you would like a different subject like a flower, animal etc. please bring your own image.
**Shared art supplies including: Dylusion & Distressed inks, stencils, rubber stamps, ink blending tools, scribble sticks, washi tape & LOTS of collage paper.
Supplies Needed to bring for Class:
- Scissors, small water containers, rags & apron.
- Small package of wipes.
- Optional: Collage paper if you’d like to use your own.
I will provide collage paper as well!
- Palette paper or paper plate for acrylic Paint.
