Every lady has a secret. This one is waiting to glow.

Begin with a forgotten doll head and spend the day transforming her into a luminous new character inspired by the timeless romance of Lady and the Tramp. Like Lady herself, she may begin as a proper little lady BUT with a little imagination, a few unexpected additions & adjustments, she’ll become something Bigger, Better, BADDER…..an Lady entirely unique.

Layer by layer, you’ll alter her surfaces, build rich texture, add found objects and unexpected treasures, then tuck a small light inside to awaken the mysterious figure taking shape.

What begins as discarded fragments become an illuminated assemblage—part sculpture, part nightlight, part curious relic from a story no one else knows. Perhaps she’s waiting for her Tramp.  Perhaps she is one! Perhaps she’s wandered into a world of spaghetti, moonlight and unlikely friendships. Perhaps she has a completely different adventure in mind.

My architectural background & mastery of many different art mediums, helps you explore balance, proportion, visual weight and center of gravity. You’ll learn how to construct an assemblage that may look precarious, peculiar and wonderfully impossible, yet remains balanced, secure and built to last.

Vintage jewelry? Moss? Hardware? Clay? Stones? Chain? Something nobody can identify? Bring a few odd treasures of your own, and I’ll provide plenty more to tempt you.

There is no pattern, no prescribed personality and no finished example to copy. I’ll show you how I build mine, then we’ll follow the clues in your materials and discover who your laminated Lady will become.  Don’t forget to turn off the lights!
