Begin by wrapping a frame with fabrics and fibers, then add all sorts of elements within, around, behind and hanging off of the frame. Learn many fun and exciting techniques for creating shapes, wraps and protrusions to make your wall piece gorgeous and unique. In addition to the fibers, you can add on decorative elements such as beads, found objects, etc. You'll be encouraged and supported to go beyond art that you've made in the past, to develop a sense of experimentation and innovation, and to make something you've never imagined making. No art experience is necessary, and all levels are most welcome. This class is perfect for beginning through experienced students

Materials Fee $35 paid at beginning of class includes:

all fiber and mixed media materials and tools needed. And you're invited and encouraged to bring materials from your own stash, which can include fabric scraps, used clothing, yarn, beads, small found objects, driftwood, etc.
